Course Description

 

The aim of this course is to access your creative potential and to use it for your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. You will learn how to tap into your creative resources through meditation, visualisation and music and you will be able to express yourself through colours and forms.

In this course you will learn how to meditate on the breath so that you can quiet the mind. From a place of calm new ideas can occur. You will be inspired by your own inner images that will appear after the mediation. You will also rediscover your playful side and use colours and forms intuitively.

Guided visualisations will enable you to be in direct contact with hidden places. Bringing emotions and sensations to light, colour and form will enable you to widen your self-awareness and enhance your self-knowledge.

This course is two hours long and is made up of 13 videos supported by downloadable music and a handout. By the end of this course you will be able to sit down, meditate and centre yourself; you will be able to use colours and forms to express yourself without judgement. You will be able to transfer the knowledge gained in the course into your daily life. You will be able to visualise on your own and you will know how to use colours and forms when you feel overwhelmed by emotions. You will be well equipped to continue on your own.

What are the requirements?

 

  • Students need to have colors (acrylics or/and tempera, or watercolors), brushes, and paper.
  • Specifics about these will be discussed in lecture 3.
